About Crank

Crank BMX Coaching was built on a simple belief — that BMX is more than just a sport.

About me

I’m a dedicated BMX coach with a deep-rooted passion for the sport and a proven track record of helping riders progress from absolute beginners to international competitors.

With a strong foundation in BMX racing and a clear focus on technical development, I’ve built Crank BMX Coaching to support riders of all ages and abilities. Whether it’s building confidence at the start gate or refining race-day strategy, my approach is always about positive progression, rider-led learning, and bringing out the best in every athlete.

I currently coach across five BMX clubs in the North West, run nationwide coaching sessions and race camps, and work with schools and colleges to bring BMX to new audiences. I also deliver community sessions through Access Sport, and coach at the National Cycling Centre, helping to shape the next generation of riders at one of the UK’s top facilities.

Tyler is an enthusiastic and driven young man. His love and passion for the sport will shine through in his coaching and will be able to bring the best out of the young riders he helps along the way.
Quillan Isidore

On average, I coach over 100 hours every month, and I’m proud to have helped 28 riders qualify for the UCI BMX World Championships, including 12 who went on to make a World Final. For me, coaching is more than a job it’s a commitment to giving back to the sport, supporting young talent, and creating opportunities for riders to believe in themselves and reach their full potential.

Our purpose

Crank BMX coaching exists to develop the future of BMX talent, supporting riders and their families to realise their potential on and off the track. We work with individuals and clubs to support and develop the future pipeline of riders for the good of the sport.
